Trust the process, practice as much as you can, look for practice work, listen to endless podcasts, follow people you look up to who are doing the same thing, register to online courses (the list seriously can go on!). The main hurdle for people starting a business is fear of failure…Seriously though, why are we so hard on ourselves!?
How can you fear something before you’ve even tried it? To live a life of high achievement, you must fully believe in yourself and your ability to succeed. Confidence my friends, it’s so powerful. The most successful business leaders today all believed in themselves and did whatever it took to achieve success.
Failures? You’ll definitely experience failures (some big, some small, some that you may cry over), but it’s your willingness to get up again and again that’s going to bring you success. You just have to keep going. As a business owner and in your everyday life, you need to understand that the only thing we can control is the present. Fearing what may happen in the future, if you really think about it, is a waste of our time and emotions because all we can control is right here, right now. If we manifest the positive energy and build momentum towards creating something we’ve dreamed of the reward will be there, it just takes time.
Start Practicing in Real-Life and begin building a Portfolio.

As time moves on, you will begin to collect a solid amount of back up support on your worth and word of mouth will begin to spread from your customers who have purchased your product or service… It’s like an on-going cycle that will only benefit you in the end!
Next, build a solid Brand that stands out.
Branding is so much more than the visuals of your business. It’s feeding into what your ideal audience craves, telling stories about your business and what it stands for, deciding on a logo, typography, colours and patterns that appeal and speak to your target market and showing up consistently and on brand.
Before you expose your business to the world, you need a solid Brand! People need to know who you are, how you are going to help them, and why they should be working with you over your competitors. Defining your niche is also important to consider when building your brand. Know your competitors and determine how you are different from them. Consider ourselves lucky to be able to reach thousands of potential clients for FREE on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter (to name a few). Take advantage social media to get your name and work out there and to start building traction and attention towards what you do. Attend as many networking events online or within your community to begin talking about what you do and how you can help others!
PS: You’d be surprised how many business specific support groups there are out there. Check out different Facebook groups and request an invite into these communities. The exposure is HUGE and the amount you can learn from other business owners in your industry is invaluable. Remember – collaboration over competition, it will benefit you throughout building your business immensely.
